About the Instructor

Alex Fayer

Alex Fayer has studied acting at The Second City Training Center, and The Victory Gardens Theater Training Center, in Chicago; and at McHenry County College. His vocal studies have spanned 18 years and he is currently studying voice with John Hacker who has worked with Chicago's Lyric Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, and Chicago Opera Theater.

Woodstock Opera House performances include: Patsy in Spamalot, Professor Calahan in Legally Blond, Freddy and others in It's a Wonderful Life: The Live Radio Play, Officer Welsh in Rumors, Nanki-Poo in The Mikado, Frederick in Pirates of Penzance, John Jasper/Clive Paget in Drood, and Butch in Leading Ladies.

Roles performed in other venues: Delmount Williams in The Miss Firecracker Contest, and Raybud Terpin in Dearly Departed, The Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz, Moonface "Moony" Martin in Anything Goes, Harry McAfee in Bye, Bye Birdie, and The Baker in Steven Sondheim's Into the Woods, Narrator in Once on This Island, Gilbert in Everything in the Garden, Louis Schlang in Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up?, Harry in Company, Oberon and Theseus in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Adolfo Pirelli in Sweeney Todd, Throat Cutter The Malevolent in The Interdimensional Super Show, Gremio in Taming of the Shrew, Mathew in Born British, Died American: Reflections, William Barfée in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Sheriff Hartwell and Bruce Baldwin in His Girl Friday.

Mr. Fayer currently resides in Woodstock, Illinois where he has begun Gracing the Boards Studios at the Woodstock Court House to promote and teach aspiring actors.
